Rebel Wilson is returning to the Toronto International Film Festival with her latest directorial project, Girl Group, which will make its world premiere as part of TIFF’s prestigious Gala Presentations lineup.
The UK production marks Wilson’s return to the director’s chair following The Deb, which celebrated its own world premiere at TIFF in 2024. This time, Wilson brings together comedy heavyweights Jennifer Coolidge and Randall Park for Girl Group, positioning the film as one of the notable comedy titles heading to Toronto this year.
Its selection for a Gala Presentation gives Girl Group a prominent platform at the 51st edition of TIFF, placing Wilson’s latest film alongside a high-profile international slate of world premieres from established filmmakers and major stars.
For Wilson, the Toronto premiere also marks a continuation of her relationship with the festival, with Girl Group arriving just two years after her feature directorial debut was unveiled there.
